Waialua Bakery & Juice Bar is one of the best North Shore breakfast and lunch spots. Everything here is incredible – sandwiches, acai bowls, cookies, you name it! If you’re looking for vegan options in Haleiwa, this is the place for you. They also happen to make some of the best homemade lemonade with fresh flavor options like lilikoi (passion fruit), mango, mint, li hing mui, and more.
What to get at Waialua Bakery & Juice Bar
You can get any of their sandwiches on a choice of freshly-baked bread or roll options. Some of my favorite sandwiches are the Roasted Chicken Avo, Roasted Veggie (vegan!), and the Teriyaki Chicken. Many of the ingredients are grown at their local farm, so you know you’re getting the freshest and best quality food around!
It’s the perfect place to grab lunch to-go before hitting the beach! Just remember to take your trash with you when you leave 🙂
If you’re a fan of lemonade you NEED to try the Waialua Bakery recipe. They offer different flavors to mix. My absolute favorite is the fresh lilikoi, but you can’t go wrong choosing other flavors like Mano, ginger, papaya, pineapple, or li hing mui.
In addition to the lemonade that I endlessly rave about, you can get a tiny acai bowl with some of their top-notch acai sorbet. This $4 acai bowl is unlike other popular spots on Oahu like Haleiwa Bowls. Waialua Bakery’s acai is a bit more frozen and comes with a few classic toppings including homemade granola, banana, and honey. I love the texture, flavor, and simplicity of this insanely inexpensive acai bowl. It is a must-try if you’re feeling extra hungry at lunch or if you’re looking for a quick mid-day snack.
Their smoothies are also extremely affordable compared to other smoothie stands. They are also just as fresh and delicious!
Waialua Bakery & Juice Bar is cash-only!
As of April 2021, they are still a cash-only business, so don’t forget to have some money on you! There is an ATM inside the Mālama Market a few steps away from the Bakery. There’s also a Bank of Hawaii with an ATM across the street if you need to make a withdrawal (the lemonade is worth it)
